Custom-Built Racing Shocks & Chassis Setup Solutions That Work for Your Car
Engineered Racing Solutions provides custom shock rebuilding, re-valving, and chassis setup consulting for dirt track and asphalt racers nationwide. Founded by a lifelong racer and crew chief with over 20 years of hands-on experience, ERS builds shock packages tailored to each driver’s car, driving style, and track conditions — not one-size-fits-all setups.
From Penske, Bilstein, AFCO, Integra, Fox, Öhlins, QA1, and more, every shock is dyno tested, precisely valved, and tuned to improve consistency, tire wear, and drive off the corner. Based in De Pere, WI, ERS supports racers through in-shop service, shipping, and trackside consulting throughout the season.
Services Built Around You and Your Racecar
Shock Rebuilding & Re-Valving
ERS offers complete shock rebuilding and custom re-valving for all major shock brands, including Penske, Bilstein, AFCO, Integra, Fox, Öhlins, QA1, BSB, and Genesis. Every shock goes through a detailed process of inspection, dyno testing, disassembly, precision valving, fresh oil, and final dyno verification — with dyno graphs provided so you know exactly what you’re bolting back on the car.
Custom Shock Packages & New Shock Sales
No two cars, drivers, or tracks are the same — and your shocks shouldn’t be either. ERS designs personalized shock packages based on track type, driving style, chassis and engine combination, and spring package. New shock sales are available, and all packages are built with real-world racing experience, not guesswork.
Spring Sales & Suspension Support
ERS is an authorized Landrum Springs dealer, offering quality springs matched to your chassis and shock package. Spring selection and tuning guidance is provided to ensure the entire suspension system works together, improving balance, forward drive, and consistency.
Chassis Setup & Trackside Consulting
From baseline chassis setups to fine-tuning for changing track conditions, ERS offers chassis setup consulting and trackside support. Services include at-the-track adjustment assistance, data review, scaling, front-end geometry tweaks, and driver feedback analysis. Remote consulting is also available when ERS isn’t at the same track.
Education & Driver Support
A core part of ERS’s approach is helping drivers understand their car and their setup. Instead of copying what another fast car is doing, ERS works directly with drivers to explain what changes to make, why they work, and how to adjust as conditions change — building confidence and consistency throughout the race.
Why Engineered Racing Solutions?
20+ Years of Real Racing Experience
ERS isn’t a generic rebuild shop. With over two decades of hands-on experience as a crew member and crew chief on IMCA Modifieds and Late Models — including multiple championships and feature wins — every shock and setup recommendation is backed by real race results.
Personalized Shock Packages — Not Cookie-Cutter Builds
Every customer receives a shock package built specifically for their car, driver style, and track conditions. ERS spends time learning your combination and goals, then designs shocks to match — with free re-valve adjustments if you decide you want changes after racing.
Dyno Verified, Every Time
Each shock is dyno tested before and after rebuilding to ensure accuracy and repeatability. Customers receive dyno graphs with their shocks, so there’s no guessing what’s inside or how it performs.
Trackside Support & Racer Education
ERS goes beyond the shop. From trackside consulting and testing sessions to phone support on race nights, racers get real-time guidance and explanations — not just parts. The goal is to help drivers understand what changes to make and why they work.
Built for Consistency, Not Just One Fast Lap
Well-built shocks don’t just make speed — they help a car feel the same from lap one to the checkered flag. ERS focuses on improving consistency, tire wear, and confidence as track conditions change.
